I'm sure some of you noticed the URL of my blog contains part of a lyric from one of my favorite musicals. Good ol' Maria. I'm not sure if you can hear that song and not have a smile come to your face. Well, unless you're hearing the song at Christmas time. Does anybody know why that song gets played like crazy at Christmas nowadays? There's no mention of Christmas or anything.
I digress. Ahem. Sorry about that. I'm going to try to post to this twice a day during the week with the exception of Fridays where I'll just post once a day (unless I'm particularly bored). And I'm going to try, TRY, to post according to different themes each day. You know, just to keep it fresh and show you just how random my brain is. It's wildly eclectic, I tell ya.
Anyway, I've deemed Tuesday to be "Fashion Tuesdays." Now, let me preface this: I am not, by any means, claiming to have any sense of fashion whatsoever. I do not, ever, look at fashion blogs, like the kinds with the latest trends and what people thought of the latest thing on the runway. No. When I say fashion Tuesday, what I really mean is, "here are the clothes and things that you can wear that I like." You may in fact find that something I post on a Tuesday is rather unfashionable. I apologize in advance.
So, for my first official post on "Fashion Tuesday" and in honor of my URL, I give you the dresses I wish I could have (and afford). Not much room in the budget for cute dress buying these days, but a girl can dream, right? So, let's start it off with this lovely:
I found this lovely on Pinterest, thanks to Amy Allsop. I just love the green color, the design, the cute little sleeves, the length, the waistline. Ok, you get the idea, I love the whole dress.
Now for the fancy dress of the day in which I would never have occasion to wear. In honor of the recent Golden Globes, I give you the beautiful Gucci gown worn by Evan Rachel Wood:
I admit, I kinda have a thing for peacocks, so when I saw her dress on Glamour's Golden Globes Best Dressed list, I feel in love a little bit. It's tasteful and doesn't look like an actual bird. Like that horrible getup that Bjork wore. It's so bad it even got a Wikipedia article all to itself.
Well, that's it for today folks! What dresses have you seen lately that you've fallen in love with?
